The Officers and members of the Association gathered on Friday 23 October 2015 in the Tennyson Suite of the Brackenborough Hotel to say thank you and farewell to The Rt Hon Sir Peter Tapsell after his many years of loyal service as the Member of Parliament for Louth and Horncastle Constituency.
He was presented with a painting of the view from his Constituency office in Canon Street, Louth painted by loca artist, Bridget Jones of Louth.
Lady Tapsell was thanked for her support and presented with an ornamental glass bowl.
Sir Peter's PA for over thirty years, Mrs Maureen Ferrier, was also thanked for her loyal service to both Sir Peter and the Association and presented with a gift.
It was an especially poignant evening forthe many Association members who came who had known Sir Peter and Lady Tapsell for many years.
The Louth & Horncastle Conservative Association would like to thank Sir Peter and wish him and Lady Tapsell a long and happy retirement.
