In a hard won campaign fought across the length and breadth of Lincolnshire, Marc Jones has emerged victorious in the election to become Lincolnshire's Police and Crime Commissioner.
Marc came 1st out of the four candidates which also included UKIP, Labour and the Lincolnshire Independents and his victory included topping the poll in both rounds of voting.
In what was a varied campaign which included a battle bus, live debates, radio grillings and a lot of leafleting, Marc worked incredibly hard and has now seen that work rewarded as Lincolnshire has put its trust in the Conservative party again to deliver sound government.
Marc said: "I'm very excited about the opportunities to carry out what is a very important role.
"The first thing I'll be doing is getting to grips with the information I need to be the best possible Police and Crime Commissioner I can be.
"We did a significant amount of work getting the message around the county and I'm glad it's paid off."
Thank you to everyone who helped out in the campaign and for the hardwork demonstrated, including our Count team pictured above.
